Gary Neville has insisted Arsenal are still capable of winning the Premier League this season despite the Gunners missing an opportunity over the festive period.
Arsenal have won just one of their last five Premier League matches, with Mikel Arteta's side entering the new year in fourth place.
The Gunners had secured an impressive draw against fellow title contenders Liverpool, while reigning champions Manchester City were at the Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
However, successive defeats against West Ham and Fulham saw Arsenal lose ground in the title race.
Former Manchester United defender Neville believes Arsenal will regret missing the chance to gain an advantage at the top of the table.

The Sky Sports pundit stuck by his prediction that Arsenal will be crowned champions at the end of the season, despite the recent setback.
'I'm not going to change my prediction. I don't think you can flip halfway through a season,” Neville said. 'They're not completely out of Arsenal yet.
'I'll be disappointed with them, they'll be disappointed with themselves and the Arsenal fans will be disappointed with them over the last two or three weeks because they've missed an opportunity to put themselves in a great position.
“Not where they'd be in a position where you'd say they're going to win the league, but that gap of four, five and six points with the games they've played in the last few weeks.
“They're just going through a rough patch, but they can come back and win the league.”
Neville had previously expressed concerns about Arsenal's lack of a clinical striker compared to their title rivals.
The Gunners are the lowest scorers in the top five, with Neville believing a 'number one striker' would help them win the title.
“The problem is at the top of the pitch where they have problems putting the ball in the back of the net,” Neville said.
Neville believes Arsenal need to improve Eddie Nketiah (pictured) and Gabriel Jesus
'They have good attackers inside [Eddie] Nketiah and [Gabriel] Jesus, but they are both two and three strikers, but they are not number one and they need a number one striker.'
