Melissa Leong reveals she plans to throw ‘white privilege, racism and narcissism in the trash’ in 2024 after being punted from MasterChef

Melissa Leong has shared her farewell for 2023.

On New Year's Eve, the former MasterChef Australia star posted a list of things she was leaving behind and looking forward to in 2024.

The list included things she rejected next year: fake things, dwelling on things, narcissism, white privilege, jealousy, racism and gossip.

Her list of things she embraced includes five zero f***s, reading the room, letting go and karma.

Melissa was fired from MasterChef earlier this year amid rumors of a feud between herself and fellow judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo, which she has denied.

Melissa is now one of the names in the running to replace Better Homes and Gardens star Ed Halmagyi after it was announced he would be leaving the show.

Halmagyi, 48, known as 'Fast Ed' to his fans, announced his retirement from the popular Seven program after 20 years, with his final appearance airing on December 1.

Leong, 41, is reportedly in the running for the gig alongside My Kitchen Rules co-stars Matt Preston and Colin Fassnidge.

Melissa's excitement was palpable when she recently spoke to Ny Breaking Australia about her new hosting gig on Dessert Masters, describing it as a 'dream come true'.

Leong has several upcoming projects, including her upcoming SBS documentary series The Hospital: In The Deep End.

β€œI'm so focused on all the incredible projects,” she said.

Melissa had a strong message for her 'haters' after being fired from MasterChef.

β€œTo those who supported me and believed in me; a big and heartfelt thank you. And for those who haven't… you're going to hate what happens next!' she wrote on Instagram earlier this month.
