Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows home is SWATTED after she removed Donald Trump from state’s 2024 ballot over January 6 riots

Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows has said her home was “struck” following her decision to remove Donald Trump from the primaries under the 14th Amendment.

'Yesterday we were not at home when the threats escalated and our home address was posted online. It was a good thing our house was destroyed last night,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday.

“Swatting” refers to making a false 911 report of an emergency to provoke a strong police response, and has resulted in injuries or deaths in the past.

Bellows said no one was injured in the swatting incident at her home, but wrote: “This behavior is unacceptable.”

Earlier this week, Bellows, an elected Democrat leading elections in Maine, said she would remove Trump from the ballot under the Constitution's ban on insurrectionists holding office.

Story in development, more to come.
