Big Brother Australia star turned real estate mogul Krystal Hipwell adds Byron Bay luxury pad to her $25million property portfolio

Former Big Brother star Krystal Hipwell and her property developer husband Neil have updated fans on their latest project in Byron Bay.

The couple, who have a property portfolio worth an estimated $25 million, took to Instagram earlier this month to show off the progress of the two mansions they are building in the prestigious seaside location.

A video taken from the construction site shows the enormous scale of one home, which features skylights in both the kitchen and dining areas.

Yahoo reports that the couple spent a whopping $4.75 million early this year to buy a four-bedroom 1960s home on the property.

They then demolished the dilapidated family home to begin construction on the 1012 square meter plot.

According to the couple's Instagram, the property will be known as 'Bunker House' and will function as a 'vacation home' once construction is completed in 2024.

Design highlights on one of the multi-story buildings seen on the couple's Instagram include an American Hampton-style facade, a wraparound balcony and a swimming pool.

Currently, Krystal, Neil and their children – son Sunny, eight, daughter Nakoda, four, and three-year-old son Huska – live on the Byron Bay structure in a small hut.

The Byron Bay project follows the pair's two previous developments.

In 2021 they launched 'Bunker House' in Gerrigong, on the south coast of New South Wales.

The multi-story mansion, which they originally built as their dream home after purchasing the land for $1.7 million, is now a luxury rental home that can accommodate 16 people.

Krystal and Neil also have a resort-style property just outside the Perisher Valley ski village in Crackenback in the NSW Alps.

Built by the couple in 2021, named 'Jimmy Doo', it opened last year and can accommodate 22 adults and 8 children.

Krystal Hipwell (née Forscutt) shot to fame on Big Brother Australia in 2006 and became an influencer, but she ditched her high-profile career to join husband Neil as a property developer.

The former model now manages projects through Neil's successful property design and construction company Futureflip.
