Raven’s Home stars Anneliese van der Pol and Johnno Wilson reveal that they’re ENGAGED… as they thank Disney for ‘introducing’ them on set

Former Disney Channel star Anneliese van der Pol looked to the moon on Wednesday as she and her boyfriend Johnno Wilson announced they were engaged.

The 39-year-old actress and her actor and comedian boyfriend shared their happy news on Instagram with photos of Johnno dropping to one knee to shock Anneliese with her engagement ring.

The lovebirds also shared their gratitude to one entity that made it all possible, Disney, which airs their series Raven's Home, a sequel to the previous Disney Channel show That's So Raven.

Their engagement came shortly after Anneliese's former costar Raven-Symoné revealed that her brother had died after a two-year battle with colon cancer.

“Thank you @Disney for introducing me to my TV ex-husband and real-life fiance[e]', Wilson wrote in his post, which Anneliese shared on her account.

He also added the date of their engagement, '12.23.23', revealing that they waited several days before sharing their happy news.

In their photos, Johnno used their Christmas decorations as the perfect backdrop for his proposal.

He was smartly dressed in a black blazer with beige trousers and dark shoes, along with a white shirt without a tie.

Anneliese was styled more casually in a cozy cream-colored sweater with wide brown pants and beige suede shoes.

Despite the relaxed atmosphere, she wore her strawberry blonde hair styled in elegant waves that cascaded down her shoulders.

Johnno's ring box seemed to contain a light that illuminated his fiancée's face when he opened it.

Then she hugged him and both looked ecstatic.

In one photo they leaned in for a hug, and in another Johnno pointed to the camera, as if to show that someone had documented the whole thing.

They finished with a shot of Anneliese's hand as she drank a glass of what looked like champagne to celebrate.

Anneliese is best known for appearing in both the original That's So Raven and its sequel, Raven's Home.

Johnno also posted a close-up of her hand with the huge ring while holding a glass of champagne

The two met after being cast in the sequel series That's So Raven Raven's Home. Johnno played the ex-husband of Anneliese's character Chelsea, who was the title character's best friend

Anneliese previously worked with star Raven-Symoné on the Disney Channel original series, although she suggested she was asked to leave both shows before they finished their courses.

She played Chelsea Daniels, the titular character's ditzy best friend, but she left both the original series and its still-in-progress sequel before they ended.

The actress, who has also worked on stage and as a singer, has been vague about why she left both series, but in a TikTok video from earlier this year she suggested she had been asked to leave both.

Wilson had a much smaller connection to the franchise. Ironically, he appeared on Raven's Home solely to play his future fiancée's ex-husband, Garrett Grayson.

The series was revived in 2017 and recently aired its sixth season – without Anneliese or Johnno – in April this year.
