The telling sign that Tony Armstrong and his musician partner Rona Glynn-McDonald are already taking their new romance to the next stage
Tony Armstrong has taken his relationship with his girlfriend Rona Glynn-McDonald a step further.
The ABC News Breakfast sports host, 34, has introduced his musical partner to his mother, less than a month after debuting their relationship to the public.
On Boxing Day, the television reporter shared on Instagram a heartwarming photo of Rona with her hands on the shoulders of his mother Margaret, who was wearing a reindeer antler headband.
“Full hearts, can't lose,” he wrote over the photo, proving just how serious their relationship is getting.
Tony was born in Sydney to Margaret, a single mother who lived in Paddington and worked as a teacher.

The media personality debuted his relationship with Rona in late November with a series of photos shared to his Instagram account.
Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia at the 2023 TikTok Awards, Tony revealed that things are getting serious between the pair, and he's happy that the relationship has been embraced by his fans and followers.
“It's just nice that people know about it now,” Tony said.
'We've been together for a while. I'm happy. [Life] things have been going just fine lately.”

Armstrong also revealed his plans to spend Christmas and New Year with Rona and their families.
“I'm going away with my girlfriend, with our families, so that should be fun. And I'm just not going to do anything.'
“Sit on my ass and do nothing,” he added.
While Armstrong remained silent about his Christmas gift for Rona, his excitement was clear.
“I've thought about it, but I can't tell you because then she'd know you're trying to have a gotcha moment,” he laughed.
Tony surprised his 165,000 Instagram followers last month by announcing his romance with new girlfriend Rona.
He appeared on cloud nine when he shared a gallery of loved-up photos with his glamorous new partner.

The couple's beaming smiles and playful affection, pictured in various locations from elevator selfies to gala events, echo Armstrong's caption: “It was a fun time.”
Rona is an incredibly talented Kaytetye woman who grew up in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) in Arrernte Country.
She works primarily with First Nations organizations to develop and advise on economic systems that assist Indigenous Australians.
As founder and CEO of Common Ground and director of First Nations Futures, Rona was also once director of First Nations at YLab.
During her highly successful career, the Central Australian has also worked in policy at the Central Land Council.
Rona has worked at the University of Melbourne's Indigenous Languages Research Unit, Reconciliation Victoria and the Foundation for Young Australians.
In 2020, the DJ was a finalist for the Victorian Young Achiever Awards and was awarded a Westpac Social Change Fellowship.
She also received the Bill Cowan Alumni of the Year award at Trinity College and won a Diana Award in 2019 before being named 'Woman of the Future' by Women's Weekly.
Despite her many awards, Rona also enjoys working as a producer and DJ for electronic music under the name RONA.

According to her website, she combines “the soundscapes of country and place with synths and melodies with emotional punch.”
She played the Falls Festival and supported Cut Copy and Rufus Du Sol on tour, and recently completed a residency at TripleJ.
Next January, RONA will perform with Boiler Room at the Sugar Mountain Festival in Melbourne.
Tony was previously forced to deny secretly getting married in 2022.
“If I had a secret wife that I'd been hiding all this time, do you think I'd tell you?” he joked.
Tony insisted he isn't against the idea of marriage, but he won't settle down with just anyone.
