Darby contacted fellow cheerleader Savannah Swaine to help choreograph the upbeat dance.
After it was created, Savannah sent a video of the steps to 28 team members to teach them the moves virtually.
The group met just once for a quick rehearsal in Arizona prior to the wedding date and then it was showtime.
“It was a 100 percent surprise to everyone there, including my teammates, that I changed dresses and shoes for the dance,” Darby said.
Darby, who was a cheerleader for the Cardinals from 2016 to 2020, hit the dance floor in a silver minidress with sequins and feather details, white sneakers and an updo with loose curls framing her smiling face.
All the cheerleaders danced with silver pom-poms to maximize their energetic choreography.
“I was so excited when we were dancing,” the bride said.
“I was thinking about how your wedding is the only time all the people you love most are in the same room, and how special that is!”
When Darby chose the songs for her dance, she became sentimental about her musical choices. Her routine included tributes to both her husband and her father
When Darby chose the songs for her dance, she became sentimental about her musical choices.
The routine started with Beyoncé and transitioned to songs for both her husband and father Norman.
Lil Wayne's song Fireman played as a tribute to Sam's career.
Towards the end of the dance, her father joined the group as AC/DC's Thunderstruck played.
'It was also a surprise to everyone that my father participated!' Darby said.
“Growing up, my dad coached my little sports teams and before every dance we would run outside dancing to the song Thunderstruck.
“He became the best dance dad after the sport ended, attending all my events and eventually cheering all my games in the NFL.
“All my Cardinals cheer friends knew my dad, so we wanted him to join in at the end, which was a big surprise for everyone.”
After the performance, Darby played Endor's song Pump It Up because it was “the song they listened to all the time” at Sam's bachelor party.
All her 'East Coast' friends are listening to it [it too]so it was a great way to get everyone involved.”

It's been over a year since Darby and Sam's special day, and the former cheerleader looks back fondly on the nostalgic and fun video.
“Many of these friends and family had never seen me perform in person and so it was fun for them to get a taste of what I did in the NFL,” Darby said.
“I also saw how happy and excited everyone was, which made me very happy and excited.”
