Lauren Phillips has found her silver lining after being axed from KIIS FM's breakfast show.

The beaming host announced the arrival of her adorable niece, Sienna, on social media, calling it “the biggest Christmas present we could ever hope for.”

Lauren's Instagram was abuzz with joy as she shared an endearing photo of herself cradling the little one.

Her caption, full of love and pride, read: “Welcome to the world, baby Sienna. So proud of @bophillips and our beautiful @stephbecket.'

“Our hearts are absolutely bursting with love for your beautiful little girl. Welcome to the gang boy. We're going to have a lot of fun together.'

Lauren Phillips has found her silver lining after being axed from KIIS FM's breakfast show. Last weekend, she shared a photo on Instagram of herself posing with her newborn niece

The news comes just weeks after the shock announcement that Phillips is stepping down from her role on Melbourne's KIIS FM breakfast radio.

The radio host recorded their final show on December 1 before Sydney giants Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson swoop in to steal their breakfast timeslot next year.

But it seems southern audiences don't want to let their local stars go as Phillips, 41, and her co-host Jase Hawkins, 42, landed in second place for Melbourne's final radio ratings of the year.

Hawkins and Phillips newsreader Clint Stanaway said: “The support and kind words we have received from Melbourne since our last show aired have been quite overwhelming.
