Chelsee Healey hits back at trolls who mocked her newborn’s unusual name as she admits it’s been a ‘tough week’ after welcoming second daughter

Chelsee Healey has hit back after being harassed over her daughter's unusual name.

The Hollyoaks star, 35, revealed on Christmas Eve that she had welcomed her second child, sharing a photo of her baby daughter and revealing she had named her Cookie.

While Chelsee was inundated with messages of support, the actress – who is also mother to daughter Coco, six – was also criticized for her choice of name.

One Instagram follower commented: 'Stop choosing names for your kids that people will tease them with because you want to be 'special'.

Which prompted Chelsee to fire back: “@amber.darke every kid who bullies is my kids [angry emoji] We will not tolerate bullies, educate your children better and mind your business [sic].

Chelsee later hit back to fire back at the 'nasty' messages she had received about her daughter, as she admitted it had been a 'difficult' week.

She shared on Instagram Stories on Tuesday: 'Thank you so much for the beautiful messages and comments about my new little girl.

'It's been a tough week, but so happy she's here and healthy.

'Also the nasty messages and comments about our daughter's name, it's Christmas and people still can't be nice.

'Taking the time to improve myself in every aspect and enjoy my beautiful baby and be the best mom I can be to Coco and Cookie.

“I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.”

Chelsee gave fans a glimpse of her newborn on Sunday when she shared a photo of Cookie in her crib, captioning it: Cookie Al Rainford 22.12.2023. 6 pounds.'

Chelsee is also mother to daughter Coco, whom she shares with her ex Jack Malloy. The couple separated shortly after the birth.

She hasn't revealed the identity of her new partner, but recently gave fans a subtle glimpse at her secret boyfriend when she shared a throwback snap on Instagram.

The actress cozied up to her partner on the couch as they posed for a loved-up photo together.

The soap star looked glamorous in a black plunging lace crop top which she paired with a semi-sheer ruffled net skirt.

Chelsee looked more in love than ever as she cleverly hid her boyfriend's face by standing in front of him.

He dressed smartly in a green polo top which he paired with khaki pants and matching sneakers.

The pair looked very smitten as they beamed as he enjoyed a beer and she held a bottle of wine.

She simply wrote, “Mom and Dad.”

It comes after Chelsee sparked concern among fans after issuing a health update earlier this month.

The actress opened up to her followers on Instagram and admitted that she suffered from bouts of blindness during her pregnancy.

The star is not finding pregnancy easy due to crippling migraines that affect her eyesight.

Chelsee confessed that her vision disappears completely when she has migraines, as she reached out to her followers asking if anyone else had experienced similar symptoms.

She wrote: 'Have suffered from severe migraines this pregnancy with complete loss of vision and vision, followed by a splitting headache, has anyone experienced this before during the experience.'

The star revealed in July that she was pregnant with her second child, but has chosen to keep the father's identity a secret.

Alongside a beautiful shoot, she wrote: 'Baby number 2. Not sure the world is ready for another Coco! But WE are more than Ready…

“For as long as Coco could talk, she has been asking for a baby sister or brother… I feel beyond blessed to grant her wish and be a mommy of two, and I can't wait to have another baba where I can love unconditionally…

'We can't wait to meet you, Our Baby Love'.

Later in the summer, Chelsee gave an extensive gender reveal in which she revealed she will have another daughter.

As a trail of pink smoke left the plane, it was revealed that Chelsee would be welcoming a baby girl, after which the actress popped a confetti cannon, also full of pink decorations.

Speaking about her decision not to publicly reveal the baby's father, she told Closer Magazine: “This is the most supportive relationship I've ever had.

“My friends and family love him, and he's the first guy I introduced Coco to, which says a lot.

'I knew within three to four months that he was The One. I've kissed a few frogs, but he's definitely marriage material.”

Chelsee has previously spoken about the joys of motherhood, but revealed in a shocking interview that daughter Coco has been the victim of racist abuse online.
