Cowboys star Micah Parsons fumes at referee following roughing the passer call before slamming ‘mind-blowing’ penalties during loss to the Dolphins

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons was angry with an official after a phone call during a loss to the Miami Dolphins on Christmas Eve.

The edge rusher was penalized for roughing the passer after hitting Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa during Sunday night's 22-20 loss.

And the All-Pro linebacker couldn't hide his frustrations as he launched into an angry tirade, yelling at the referee and having to be restrained by teammate DeMarcus Lawrence.

With Dallas holding a narrow 7-6 lead, Parsons almost secured the sack on Tagovailoa, but the Miami signal caller had already swung his pass, leaving the linebacker a second late when he picked him off, leading to him being marked.

'It's mind-boggling, the things that are being said and the positions that we're being put in. We just have to learn how to fight the adversity,” Parsons said after the game via Jon Machota of The Athletic.

“I know a lot of it is BS, but it's the world we live in. We have the star on our helmet.”

“The referee said my intention was to punish the quarterback. How do I try to punish him if all I want to do is fire him? It's not like it was a late hit. It's not like I'm leaving my feet. I didn't lead with my head. I don't know how you do that,” Parsons added about his egregious passer penalty.

The Cowboys were flagged six times for 38 yards in the 22-20 loss to Miami. But the Dolphins also took their fair share of penalties, as they were hit with five for 33 yards during the close game.

The Dolphins continued the game on Christmas Eve and secured their playoff berth with a walk-off field goal.

Jason Sanders made his fifth field goal of the day, a 29-yarder, as time expired to seal the 22-20 victory.
