Wolves boss Gary O'Neil has called for a 'complete performance' when his side play Chelsea on Sunday.

The Blues come to Molineux on Christmas Eve aiming to build on last weekend's win against Premier League strugglers Sheffield United, which left them three points ahead of Wolves going into this weekend's match.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were also in action in midweek, earning a place in the Carabao Cup semi-final after beating Newcastle on penalties, and O'Neil will be hoping his side can produce another big performance on Sunday.

He told a press conference: '(Chelsea have) got really good quality. They look like a party that is starting to understand what the manager wants from them.

'(They are) good with the ball and have good attacking talent, so even when they are not at their best, they have players who can create good moments one-on-one.

'So it will have to be a complete performance from us, which we have already been able to achieve a few times at home against big teams, but it will have to happen again.

“I know the boys are looking forward to it, just like me. It's also Christmas Eve, I know there were mixed feelings among the supporters because there was a football match on Christmas Eve, but I'm sure when we get to the stadium if we can start the performance properly, I'm sure the atmosphere will be fantastic as it has been.

“(We're) looking forward to it, we're going to try to make it as tough an afternoon as possible for Chelsea.”

Sunday's will be the first top-flight match to be held on Christmas Eve since 1995 and O'Neil hopes Wolves can use the match to continue their impressive home form this season, where they are unbeaten since September.

He added: 'Christmas is always something that happens while I'm doing my job, it doesn't really matter to me whether it's Christmas Eve or Boxing Day.

'There will be a lot of work to be done in those days, so it doesn't really matter to me.
