Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector Story and Setting
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward vector you will revisit the Helion System, but you will explore a brand new location with a brand new set of characters to meet and a new Sleeper to inhabit. While we haven't seen much about the new location yet, more will be revealed over the course of the year, as announced on the website Fellow Traveler website.
During a showcase at Gamescom 2023, it was revealed that one of the new locations in Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward vector is Hexport – a way station built on the back of three abandoned solar reflectors. It is said to be 'rich in industry and activity'. Within it, players will find 'The Bends', where they can encounter “trouble and freelance help in equal measure”. Meanwhile, the Hexport Exchange is filled with traders and data brokers. Finally, within Factory Row there are salvage yards and ship fitters.
Even though we still have to learn the ins and outs of our new environment, the story of Citizen Sleeper 2 has already been briefly investigated. Within the Helion System, two corporate entities are fighting a secret war that affects everything in its immediate vicinity, including the Starward Belt. This causes waves of refugees, pieces of warring ships, and all kinds of new technology to wash up on the outside of the Belt, and as you traverse the area you'll discover new things to use on your journey.
Everything you collect goes towards running and maintaining your stolen ship, and occasionally you may encounter enthusiastic crew members ready to take some of the pressure off when you have to do the whole thing alone doing.
But the journey won't be easy, as the new Sleeper's backstory means you'll always have to be on your toes. Our journey begins after your desperate attempt to free yourself from the system by rewriting the code that controls your system, and you are now on the run with a defective body and a price on your head. But you also have no memory of any previous memories.
Whether reminiscing will play more into the story than it currently seems is unknown, but as more information comes out about the game's release, we expect to see more of the story and possibly some in-game content will be released and may be related to the game's release. how your lost past will affect your current journey while you're on the run.
Citizen Sleeper 2 Starward Vector Gameplay
Even though we haven't seen any in-game action of it Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward vector Still, there are a few elements that we can choose from in addition to the official website, in addition to a few mechanisms that we know from the original game and that we expect to carry over.
For example, ship and crew management and a huge amount of in-game content will retain the familiar TTRPG dice rolling mechanic at the start of each cycle, which determines the success rate of a day of rolling numbers. This same system determines the success rate of the contracts and missions you complete, so even though it's completely dependent on luck, you'll be relying on it for the vast majority of your experience.
Furthermore, due to the exciting story of a vigilante on the run, we expect that some sort of high-stakes combat or chase elements will be included in the game, but how exactly these would be executed is one of the information we don't know. . That being said, Citizen Sleeper 2 has said it will showcase all new systems and mechanics that bring more depth, complexity and challenge to the series, but how this applies has yet to be revealed.
We still have a lot to learn about how Citizen Sleeper 2 plans to carve its own path within the series, but as with the story, we expect more information to become available to us as we get closer to a release date or at least an announcement.
