An Arkansas man was caught trying to pass through the TSA at New York's LaGuardia Airport with a baby diaper covered in bullets.

The unidentified man attempted to pass security yesterday with 17 bullets “artfully hidden” in a diaper and board his flight to Chicago's Midway Airport.

Officers retrieved the clean diaper from the passenger's carry-on luggage after the passenger triggered an alarm in an X-ray machine at an airport security checkpoint.

According to the TSAthe passenger initially claimed he did not know how the bullet-filled diaper ended up in his bag.

He later told his officers that his girlfriend had left it there.

Messages seeking details were left with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport, and the Queens district attorney's office.

TSA joked, saying, “Apparently this guy needs a bulletproof plan to pack his carry-on before heading to the airport for his next flight.”

It is unclear whether the man was traveling with a baby or if there were other people there.
