Kate Hudson gave her Instagram followers a glimpse into her musical journey on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old star, who is known for her acting and entrepreneurial spirit, wrote in a caption that her music has been “two and a half years in the making.”

Hudson, whose mother is Hollywood icon Goldie Hawn, has uploaded several video clips showing her working hard at her craft.

Her famous friends quickly joined the comments to cheer her on – Hilary Swank wrote: 'My dream come true! You sing and make an album!!!'

It comes after she first announced her interest in sharing her original music earlier this year.
