My, have you changed! Nicole Kidman looks very different as she returns to the cinema she opened 27 years ago

Nicole Kidman was stunned as she attended a screening of her upcoming Amazon Prime drama series Expats on Wednesday at the Sydney cinema she opened 27 years ago.

The 56-year-old actress returned to Paddington's modest Palace Verona theater to present her new series, almost three decades after she opened cinemas with her film To Die For.

Nicole revealed her smooth, porcelain face as she walked the red carpet with her husband Keith Urban in a flowing champagne dress.

She looked very different than when she opened the cinema in early 1996.

Her cheekbones appear more prominent and her defined eyebrows now appear bolder and lifted.

The Hours star has previously credited healthy lifestyle choices as the secret behind her age-defying complexion.

In 2007, Nicole denied having cosmetic surgery and said her flawless skin was the result of her healthy lifestyle.

“Honestly, I'm completely natural,” she told Marie Claire at the time.

'I wear sunscreen and I don't smoke. I take care of myself. I'm very proud to say that.'

However, in 2011, she admitted to getting Botox during an interview with German magazine TV Movie.

“I've tried a lot of things, but other than exercise and good nutrition, most things don't make a difference,” she said.

'I even tried Botox, but my face no longer looked nice afterwards. Now I don't use it anymore and I can move my forehead again.'

The Amazon Prime series is based on the book The Expatriates by Janice YK Lee and the first episode will be released on January 26 next year.

In the series, Nicole plays Margaret, a wealthy American woman who lives a seemingly idyllic life with her family in Hong Kong – until an unthinkable tragedy occurs and her son goes missing.

Her life concludes with two other American women who also face their own trials, including a young woman struggling to let go of the past.
