Clearing out your work (or personal) email inbox could soon get a lot easier thanks to a new Gmail update.
The email service is introducing a new tool that allows users to delete repetitive emails from accounts such as newsletters, stores or other types of offers and promotions with just one click.
Gmail messages will now include a much more prominent 'unsubscribe' option 9to5Google recognizing the feature in the header of the email itself, giving users a much clearer way to remove themselves from messages they no longer want to be a part of.

The new unsubscribe option is also more noticeable than before, with blue hypertext, instead of the rather muted, gray underlined message that appeared before.
If you select this option, a confirmation message will appear, which means that Google will “unsubscribe by sending an email from your email account.”
Google first announced plans to make unsubscribe easier in October 2023 as part of its campaign to prevent users from being bombarded with spam.
The new measures are specifically aimed at senders who target more than 5,000 Gmail addresses per day, who must also take SPF and DKIM measures.
The news comes shortly after Google also announced a new security tool to keep the Gmail inbox spam-free. Resilient and Efficient Text Vectorizer (RETVec) will reportedly make Gmail better at detecting spam emails that hide invisible characters, LEET substitution (e.g. 3xpl4in3d instead of explained), intentional typos, and more.
