Car smashes into Joe Biden’s motorcade leaving president looking stunned as Secret Service agents draw weapons on driver outside campaign HQ in Delaware
A car collided with part of President Biden's parked motorcade in Wilmington, Delaware, on Sunday evening.
Secret Service agents drew their weapons on the driver as the vehicle appeared to ram into an SUV that had closed a street while Biden attended a nearby campaign event.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately clear.
The President and First Lady climbed into their vehicle and left the Biden-Harris 2024 headquarters in downtown Wilmington just after 8 p.m.
The first lady wished the waiting journalists happy holidays. Just as the president was coming out, his departure was interrupted by a car hitting one of the SUVs in the motorcade.

A silver sedan with Delaware license plates struck what appeared to be the SUV shielding the motorcade at the intersection opposite the campaign headquarters entrance.
There was a loud bang and the president seemed genuinely shocked when the collision occurred.
Officers quickly acted, cornering the car and pulling weapons on the driver.
The man complied and held up his hands as reporters nearby were quickly shuffled away.
The crash came just as Joe Biden was leaving his campaign headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, just after 8 p.m. on Sunday evening.
