A fight broke out between players after Leeds and Coventry ended in a 1–1 draw, with several players restrained after the full-time whistle.
Daniel Farke's side welcomed last season's play-off finalists to Elland Road on Saturday as they looked to return to winning ways after defeat to Sunderland in midweek.
After a relatively subdued first 45 minutes, the hosts took the initiative after the break, with Crysencio Summerville curling his effort past Sky Blues goalkeeper Ben Collins to put the hosts ahead.
Unable to capitalize on their momentum, Leeds were put back shortly after the opener when Bobby Thomas headed home from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto's cross to equalize on 66 minutes.
Leeds continued their search for a winner into the closing stages but continued to evade them and the points were eventually split between the two sides, but the action on the pitch was not over yet.

As the managers exchanged pleasantries on the touchline, Thomas appeared to attempt to shake hands with his fellow goalscorer as they left the pitch, but Summerville refused, leading to a heated argument between the two.
Players from both teams quickly intervened to defuse the situation, with Wilfried Gnoto physically restraining the irate Dutchman as he attempted to take on Thomas.
Asked about the incident after the match, Coventry boss Mark Robins claimed the frustration stemmed from Leeds' inability to secure three points on the pitch.
'They're handbags. It is the desire to win a game. Things didn't go well for one team and we are happier with the draw than they are.' said Robins.
'They will be frustrated that they didn't catch us off guard – that's the expectation of teams that are expected to get promoted.
'That is the challenge for them. Teams come here and don't roll over and die. Therefore, promotion at every level is very hard-won.
“They're a really good side but we've kept them as quiet as I've seen them. I'm really proud, the players have performed excellently this week and that's an excellent result after that one.'
