Queensland Health will go digital for scheduling

Queensland Health has announced it will implement an electronic rostering system for its nursing and midwifery staff by the end of 2024.

The move is part of initiatives the company is taking in response to the Queensland Audit Office's annual recommendations. The state health department is known to manage more than 125,000 employees every two weeks across more than 893,000 shifts.

It will later gradually expand the e-scheduling system to other professional groups.

Regional WA rolls out Magentus' oncology file

The Western Australia Country Health Service (WACHS) will roll out Magentus' Charm Evolution centralized oncology patient record system.

This implementation follows that up South Metropolitan Health Service last month.

NSW radiology practice is improving appointment numbers

San Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, a medical diagnostic imaging center run by the private Sydney Adventist Hospital, recently tapped healthcare communications provider Foxo to help with its digital transformation.

Foxo has streamlined radiology practice communications in New South Wales by consolidating disparate channels and integrating them with the AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Platform.

The implementation “almost immediately” resulted in a 9% increase in outpatient appointments and a 12% increase in total MRI appointments, it claimed. Furthermore, it has facilitated contextual communication between staff for protocolling.
