Max becomes a YouTube primetime channel inductee – ads not included

If you're an avid YouTube user, you're probably aware of the seemingly endless selection of primetime channels. Now viewers in the US can watch Max's ad-free tier movies and shows on YouTube Primetime following an announcement from Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).

Max has become the latest Primetime inductee, joining more than 35 channels including Paramount Plus, Hayu and Starz. In a message announcing the newsWBD says the integration with YouTube will give customers access to the most popular content from brands ranging from Food Network to TLC, plus content from Warner Bros. Pictures. Viewers can subscribe and watch on YouTube and pay via their Google account.

The arrival of Max on the YouTube Primetime channels is another step in WBD's efforts to make the platform available to a wider audience. As it stands now, the Max ad tier costs $9.99 per month, and the standard ad-free tier costs $15.99 per month. There is also an ultimate ad-free tier available for $19.99 per month. This integration could lead to more people signing up for that more expensive tier.
