Harry Maguire appeared to suffer a groin injury during the first half of Manchester United's Champions League match against Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.

The centre-back ran with the ball before immediately stopping in some discomfort while holding his crotch.

The 30-year-old received some treatment at the side of the pitch and was able to play for a few minutes before being substituted for Jonny Evans.

Although the nature of the injury has not yet been confirmed, Maguire could now be doubtful for United's crucial match against Liverpool at Anfield next weekend.

His absence will be a major blow for United as the defender has been a standout performer for the Red Devils in recent weeks.
