Charlotte Flair had to be helped out of the ring on Friday after suffering a knee injury during her match with Asuka on WWE SmackDown.
The 37-year-old noticeably favored her right leg as the fight ended, before shouting “my knee” as referee Charles Robinson and medical staff attended to her after the match.
Flair struggled to complete the fight and limped in the final moments of a match that came to an abrupt end after interference from Bayley allowed Asuka to pin her.
According to PWInsiderthe WWE superstar suffered the injury when she was “preparing for a move but slipped and got stuck on the ropes,” with the outlet noting “twisting her knee.”
The incident was not shown during the broadcast. There is no update on her condition after the SmackDown Tribute to the Troops special.

Flair appeared in her first event in two months following her loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.
She became involved in a rivalry with Damage CTRL and received support from Shotzi when they recently teamed with Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair against Bayley, Asuka, Kairi Sane and current WWE Women's Champion Iyo Sky.
Flair's fans will be hoping her injury isn't too serious now that the Royal Rumble is on the horizon.
The event lasts seven weeks and marks the beginning of the Road to WrestleMania.
