From the village with the smallest castle to the town with the most pubs, many of our towns have weird and wonderful claims to fame.
But what many residents don't know is that many towns and villages have hosted some famous movie scenes.
Now, an interactive map dubbed 'CineMapperIt was unveiled to reveal locations around the world that brought famous movie moments to life.
Speaking to MailOnline, Tim Hughes, the map's creator, said: 'There are 313 films, TV shows and video games, and we're adding nearly 100 new locations weekly.'

An interactive map dubbed 'CineMapper' has been unveiled which reveals locations around the world that brought famous film moments to life.
The map is the brainchild of Tim Hughes, who was inspired to create it in 2021 after posting about filming locations on TikTok.
“I create online content about movies (@whoshuges) and in one TikTok, I covered Star Wars locations you can visit in the UK,” he explained.
“This TikTok had over a million views, so I made it a TikTok series, and eventually created a Google map to document it.
'After a couple of years, my web app developer friend, Izzy, said he could help make it a proper web app.
“We started sharing CineMapper and it went viral again!”

Alternatively, you can use the tabs below the map to search by New, Popular, or Movies/TV.
You can also search for specific locations or movies by clicking on the magnifying glass icon on the right side of the map.
MailOnline tested the tool by browsing some of the most popular movie websites.
Here in the UK, the theme park scene in Paddington 2 was filmed at Knebworth Park in Stevenage, while the cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral were used as various settings for the interiors of Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, and The Half-Blood Prince.

In the US, The Avengers headquarters was shot at Atrisco Heritage Academy High School in Albuquerque, while scenes for Netflix hit The Killer, starring Michael Fassbender, were shot at Breaux Mart Chalmette near New Orleans.
Meanwhile, in Europe, the Capitol Government Building in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 was filmed at Les Espaces Abraxas in Noisy-le-Grand, France, while Deckhardt's Hideout in Blade Runner 2049 was filmed at the Stock Exchange Building in Budapest.
According to Mr. Hughes, the tool is very popular among movie buffs, and many of them even venture out to visit the attractions themselves.
“People comment they will use it on their next trip,” he told MailOnline.
“And people spend an hour looking at all the sites!” Last week, total pin clicks reached 217,000.
