Rapper Kodak Black is arrested on drug charges after traffic stop where cops found ‘white pills and $75,000 in cash’ – three years after he was pardoned by Trump

  • Kodak Black was one of 140 people pardoned by Donald Trump on his last full day in office in 2021
  • Just under three years later, Black was arrested again on drug charges
  • His car was reportedly stopped for speeding and officers found oxycodone and nearly $75,000 inside

Rapper Kodak Black has been arrested for drug abuse nearly three years after then-President Donald Trump pardoned him and commuted his prison sentence.

The Tunnel Vision rapper – whose real name is Bill Kapri – was arrested on Wednesday in Florida, near Fort Lauderdale.

Police reportedly stopped the 26-year-old's purple SUV as he was driving over the speed limit through Plantation and then detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

They searched the car and found a clear bag containing white tablets, later identified as oxycodone, and nearly $75,000 in cash.

It comes three years after Trump pardoned the rapper in January 2021 – he had pleaded guilty to gun charges and was scheduled to serve time in prison until November 2022.

He was one of more than 140 people pardoned on Trump's last full day as president.

The White House at the time praised his “charitable efforts,” saying, “He has committed to supporting a variety of charitable efforts, such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the disadvantaged.”

But he has now been arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and tampering with physical evidence – and will appear in court on Thursday.

Black has a long history of run-ins with the law.

He was arrested on similar charges in July 2022 and charged with trafficking in oxycodone after police claimed they found 31 oxycodone pills in his car.

He was then arrested again in June before being released on $250,000 bail, and in February this year he was wanted by police in Florida for violating the terms of his bail and failing a drug test.

He also served a short prison sentence in May 2017 after a judge sentenced him to 364 days in prison for violating the terms of his house arrest.

He was released a month later when he completed a life skills course behind bars.

Kodak was also sued by two victims of a shooting that took place outside Justin Bieber's Super Bowl after-party in February 2022.

The alleged victims claimed that Kodak played a major role in the escalation of the struggle that took place outside the establishment.

An unknown assailant reportedly attacked someone from Kodak's group, causing him to get into a scuffle to protect his friend.

Trump pardoned the rapper in 2020 and freed him from prison after serving a year for falsifying information on federal forms to buy four guns from a Miami gun store.

In return, Kodak has repeatedly endorsed the former president.

In a recent interview, he said he had a lot in common with Trump, adding: “I f*** with that boy.

'He's a Gemini, just like me – his birthday two days after I was born, and that boy, he's vibrating here too.
