Chick-fil-A fans are left devastated after popular menu item is discontinued – and plead with fast food giant to bring it back!

  • The fast food chain removed a popular seasonal sandwich from its menu
  • The restaurant offered the item from August 28 to November 11
  • It was a popular order and a “seasonal twist” on the original chicken sandwich

Chick-fil-A fans are outraged after the fast-food chain dropped its popular “seasonal twist” on an original chicken sandwich.

The honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich was pulled from all Chick-fil-A locations in the U.S. on November 11 after making its restaurant debut on August 28.

But Chick-fil-A fans still aren't over the move, with many flocking to social media to vent their frustration and pressure the restaurants to reinstate it as a permanent menu item.

“Hey @ChickfilA, make the honey pepper allspice chicken sandwich a regular menu item,” wrote one X, formerly a Twitter user.

In addition to the honey pepper allspice chicken sandwich, Chick-fil-A also removed the seasonal caramel crumble milkshake on the same day.

The company introduced the chicken sandwich with honey pepper allspice this summer as 'an original variation on the original'.

Chick-fil-A chefs began experimenting with the original chicken sandwich after the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich proved to be a big hit.

“The Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich combines classic Chick-fil-A flavors with a sweet and subtly spicy kick,” according to the company's press release.

This was the first time Chick-fil-A used jalapeños in one of its menu items — and judging by the heartfelt devastation from customers online, the gamble paid off.

One X user wrote, “My heart is broken @ChickfilA no longer has the honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich.”

Another person said, “I wasn't craving Chick's honey pepper, allspice, chicken sandwich and they took it off the menu.”

Other Chick-fil-A consumers have tweeted their disbelief and begged for the sandwich to be brought back, but the restaurant has yet to confirm whether it will consider doing so.

Still, not all social media users are depressed about the loss of the honey pepper and allspice chicken sandwich.

In fact, some social media users don't understand why the Chick-fil-A sandwich was offered in the first place.

“While I'm on Chick Fil A, you guys have everything you need to make spicy nuggets. Don't play with us anymore. Tf was that Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich about?,” one X user wrote.

For those devastated that the Chick-fil-A sandwich has been removed, there are other seasonal items to help them get into the holiday spirit.

Chick-fil-A's annual peppermint chip milkshake returned on November 13, along with two new peppermint-flavored coffees.

The frosted peppermint chip coffee and peppermint iced coffee also offer a little holiday cheer for coffee lovers dining at Chick-fil-A.

The restaurant chain's annual chicken tortilla soup is also available nationwide for a limited time (with the exception of Hawaii).
