Fears for missing western Sydney boy who disappeared after catching bus from Tregear to Mount Druitt

Police have launched a desperate appeal for help locating a missing Sydney boy.

Vula Tanuku, aged nine, was last seen in Tregear on Wednesday when he took a bus towards Mt Druitt Westfield, in Sydney's west, about 2.50pm.

A search was launched for the boy after he failed to return home.

The boy's family and police are concerned for his well-being due to his young age.

The boy does not have a mobile phone or social media.

Vula is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, between 130cm and 140cm tall, thin build, short brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue football pants and a black shirt with a logo on the front.

Vula is often seen around the Tregear, Mt Druitt and Blacktown areas, and also uses public transport regularly.

Anyone with information on the boy's whereabouts is urged to call police or Crime Stoppers.
