Trevor Lawrence could return on SUNDAY against the Cleveland Browns with the Jaguars QB receiving ‘around the clock treatment’ on the high ankle sprain from Monday’s Bengals loss

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is receiving around-the-clock rehabilitation for the high ankle sprain he suffered in Monday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

Lawrence has also yet to be ruled out for next Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, but it would be too early to say how his ankle will respond to treatment.

The 24-year-old quarterback was initially injured in the fourth quarter when his ankle was caught by Jaguars left tackle Walker Little on a passing play.

Lawrence initially took a few steps toward the sideline before falling to his knees and pounding the ground in frustration.

He was then attended to by trainers before needing assistance as he limped to the locker room and sat out the rest of the game.

The QB's wife, Marissa, also shared an image from her DMs on Instagram, which were full of people wishing the 2021 No. 1 overall pick well.

If Lawrence's ankle doesn't allow him to return this week against Cleveland, his next chance to play will be a Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens.

If the game against Baltimore proves to be too early, his next chance to be back on the field will be on December 24 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with three games remaining in the regular season.
