Boyfriend bombards girlfriend with texts for hours after she went out with friends: ‘This is scary’
A young woman has revealed the threatening messages she received from her 30-year-old boyfriend after attending a Halloween party without him.
The 25-year-old woman shared the screenshots of her now ex-partner on Reddit, explaining that the party was at her best friend's house.
But she added that it didn't matter where she had been as he sent her similar crazy messages every time she left the house without him.
The message thread started at 9:49 p.m., with the boyfriend demanding she call him. He then sent a message saying “Hello?” at 9:51 p.m. when she was unresponsive.
She said “Hello” and he wanted to know why she wasn't answering.

“I couldn't hear you,” she wrote.
“So you ignored my calls?” he asked.
She replied that she had texted him.
Then she received the first barrage of texts,
From 10:06 am to 10:15 am he sent a message every few minutes.
10.06: '10 minutes later.'
10.06: 'You know what I think when you're gone and don't respond…'
10:09: 'What are you doing?'
10:13: 'Hellooooooooo.'
10:15 “Are you fucked?”
The man seemed furious when his girlfriend didn't answer the phone
The messages continued with the man claiming she could have stepped outside to take his call, before joking that he would like a 'surprise snap'.
He then asked to see her outfit before getting angry about breaking the 'shell'.
She explained that it was a cheap outfit, but it blew up.
“So now your costume is just shells on your tits?” Thigh high boots? and a skirt that doesn't cover your ass?'
She said the skirt covered her buttocks. He replied that she would have to prove it when she got home.
He messaged her every few minutes until 11:38 p.m. asking when she would be home.
She didn't respond for an hour, which seemed to anger him even more.
In the comments, the woman said the costume was “the tamest thing she had ever worn” because she knew he would “lose it.”
“My outfit consisted of boots, a pleated skirt and a shirt with seashells printed on the chest, but it was a real tank top,” she said.
“I never cheated on him or did anything that gave him reason to question me. This was also a party at my best friend's apartment, which consisted only of other classmates from my doctoral program. Hardly a rager.'
She also said he was invited to the party but didn't want to go.
“This was part of the way I was slowly isolated from them and my family over the course of the relationship, rather than getting into fights before leaving or texting like this every time.”
People were quick to respond to the post – and congratulated her for introducing the conversation by explaining that he was now an ex-boyfriend.
Although she also admitted that it took three and a half years “too long” for her to realize he wasn't the best match.
He was furious about her outfit after asking for a photo
'I wouldn't have given him that much time. It would be “we're over.” What an exhausting man,” one woman said.
“I'm glad he's your ex OP, stay safe,” said another.
“Insecure man-child. Glad OP got rid of him. That's not love, that's control,” a third added.
“Like someone needs to tell, just because you add some fun to the end of your creepy possessive behavior doesn't make it okay,” another added.
Some told the woman she should have ignored the messages – before others revealed why that could lead to more problems.
'I don't think people understand it. I ignored a guy I dated very briefly during a night out at a concert with some friends. Years later he still sends me harassing and threatening messages about it,” one woman said.
“If you ignore them, chances are you'll come home and find all your stuff on fire in the front yard,” said another.
She then did not respond for an hour, prompting him to ask where she was
“A woman at a party I was at was dealing with a jealous boyfriend who was calling and texting her all night around midnight. “We convinced her to turn off her phone and the friend's response was to go to her house and release her dogs,” one woman said. .
Some simply mocked the man for being insecure.
“Where you at lol it's been 0.034 seconds since you last commented lol what's taking so long,” one person wrote.
“Bro chilled there for a whole hour, great self-control,” laughed another.
Others said they would be outraged by the woman's behavior.
'What must he think when you go out with thigh-high boots and a skirt that doesn't cover anything. I'm with him,” one person said.
“So many people assume he's abusive. She could be the problem,” said another.
“You seem like a very immature woman,” a third gushed.
