The couple have been married for 22 years after tying the knot at Ballintubber Abbey in Ireland in 2001.

The couple first met in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in 1994, three years after the death of Pierce's first wife, Cassandra Harris, in 1991.

He has previously said of Keely: “I have found a wonderful woman in Keely Shaye. If I searched a million times, I wouldn't find one this good.”

In September, Pierce gifted Keely 60 roses and shared a sweet tribute to his wife on the occasion of her 60th birthday.

“Sixty roses for my brown-eyed girl on her 60th birthday,” Pierce began in his birthday post.

“Forever happy and blessed was I to be sitting there as you walked around the corner early one morning in Cabo San Lucas,” he added of their first meeting.

Pierce and Keely share two sons, Dylan, 26, and Paris, 22, the youngest of the actor's five children.

The Mamma Mia! star also has son Sean, 38, and adopted son Chris, 49, as well as his late adopted daughter Charlotte with Cassandra.

Pierce adopted Cassandra's children, Chris and Charlotte, after their father, Dermot Harris, died in 1986.

Pierce is known for playing secret agent 007 in four of the James Bond films: Golden Eye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day.

The actor had his last appearance as 007 in Die Another Day in 2002 and while he was keen to make a fifth film, the producers decided they wanted to reboot the role to stay relevant in the post-September 11, post-Jason Bourne world.

He previously insisted he has 'no regrets' about the way he left the franchise when he was told he was being replaced over the phone.

Speak with The guard in 2020, Pierce said, “There are no regrets. I don't let regret enter my world… It only leads to more misery and more regret. Bond is the gift that keeps on giving and has allowed me to build a wonderful career.

“Once you're branded as Bond, it's with you forever, so you better make peace with it and you can better understand that when you walk through those doors and pick up the mantle of playing James Bond.”
