EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: The question on everyone’s lips… Will Carol Vorderman be a Labour candidate at the next general election?
Could Carol Vorderman be a Labor candidate at the next general election?
The former Countdown star, 62, who was axed from her BBC radio show after refusing to tone down her anti-Tory social media posts, tells me she has big news.
“I know what's coming: there's a lot of news to come and I'm very excited,” she tells me at the Women in Film & Television Awards at London's Hilton Park Lane.
“I look forward to the general election taking place as soon as possible.
“Dismantling the Tory party is my goal for the rest of next year.”

The former Countdown star, 62, was suspended from her BBC radio show after refusing to tone down her anti-Tory social media posts
Vorderman was told to leave her job at BBC Radio Wales after breaching the company's guidelines.
She said she was “unwilling” to stop expressing her “strong beliefs” on X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram.
She had used social media to regularly launch attacks on conservatives.
She has called for the 'dismantling' of the Tory Party 'one vote at a time' and branded ministers a 'lying bunch of greedy, corrupt, destructive, hateful, divisive, crooks'.
She tells me, “I haven't regretted it for a second because I've never felt freer, or that my life has more meaning than it does now.”
