Everton ‘are at risk of ANOTHER points deduction’ after confirmation that new breaches of the Premier League’s rules will be dealt with by the end of May

According to reports, Everton are at risk of having their points deducted again if they are found to have breached spending rules.
Earlier this month, the Toffees were deducted 10 points for breaching the Premier League’s winning and sustainability rules, leaving the Toffees in 19th place in the table.
The club was referred to an independent commission in March over alleged breaches linked to the 2021-2022 season and a hearing took place last month.
Now, according to The timesEverton are preparing to submit their accounts for the 2022-2023 season to the Premier League – with a deadline of December 31.
The outlet claims that under the new regulations being introduced over the summer, breaches of financial rules will be quickly detected and dealt with before the end of the season.

This in turn could lead to that The Toffees will again face deductions, amid growing fears that “the same calculation system” that led to their recent punishment will be used again.
Earlier this month, the Premier League pushed for a significant points deduction for Everton to set a precedent after the club was accused of breaching financial rules in the 2021/2022 season.
The Toffees recorded huge financial losses of almost £372 million over a three-year period.
That’s more than £250 million more than what Premier League guidelines allow clubs to lose over three years. The technical alleged breaches related to accounting treatments, with the League claiming Everton had breached the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
Mail Sport recently revealed how their 10-point deduction has cast doubt on the future of first-team coach Sean Dyche.
Since his arrival in January, the former Burnley boss has breathed new life into the Toffees, saving them from relegation last season and taking them to a relatively impressive 14 points this term.
The current Toffees regime is keen to discuss the prospect of a longer contract with Dyche, who has just 18 months left on his current deal.
However, the brutal points deduction in the Premier League due to breaches of the financial rules has led to these plans being put on hold, at least temporarily, while the club deals with the consequences of a ruling in the Premier League which puts them on the second place at the bottom of the rankings.
