Las Vegas Raiders release Roderic Teamer after he was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning – hours before his team played the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

He now wants to join a new team and Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce confirmed the news Monday.

Teamer was arrested for speeding and driving under the influence and was released Sunday morning.

He played 33 games for the Raiders over the past two seasons and had just returned from a hamstring injury before the Chiefs game.

Teamer was taken off the injured list in Las Vegas on Saturday after a hamstring injury kept him out of action.

After suffering the injury in Week 6 against the New England Patriots, Teamer was a full participant in most practices this week.

Teamer has been with the Raiders since 2021 after starting his career with the Los Angeles Chargers and a brief stint on the Indianapolis Colts practice squad.

The Raiders were defeated 31-17 by the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon despite taking a 14-0 lead early in the game.

The Las Vegas team remains 5-7 on the season and next hosts the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.
