And former Manchester United and England right-back Gary Neville said Alexander Arnold could become the best ever in the position. Sky Sports podcast: ‘His performances on the ball are absolutely out of this world. The difference between me and him is night and day. I can’t even imagine what he does on the field.’
‘He plays in central midfield 50 to 60 percent of the time, scoring goals, setting up goals and providing assists. He reaches figures that right-wing parties do not achieve.
‘He has the material to become the best right-back of all time. But he will have to be a bit more serious in his defense because he is currently struggling to get into the England team, or he has struggled. He will also have to be a resilient, strong defensive player when Liverpool and England are under pressure.”
