This is the terrifying moment passengers scream as a Russian Aeroflot plane shakes uncontrollably after being hit by turbulence.
Passengers on a Boeing 777-300 plane panicked during a flight on the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky route to Moscow yesterday, with one woman suffering minor head injuries during the unrest, Russian media said.
As the plane flew over the northern Ural Mountains, the plane suddenly began to shake.
In a video circulating on social media, passengers can be seen grabbing the seats in front of them, with screams and shouts audible.
A female passenger named Lyubov, who later spoke to Russian newspaper Izvestia, said the crew had warned people about the turbulence, but no one expected it to be so powerful.

She said passengers were initially asked to fasten their seat belts and remain seated, but were later asked to lie on the ground.
‘It felt like we were falling. It was scary. It all started unexpectedly – there was strong turbulence. The woman who was injured was on the toilet at the time and was trying to get to her home. When the plane crashed, she suffered head injuries,” Lyubov said.
She said the woman tried to sit in her seat when the plane started shaking, but lost her balance and fell into the aisle, causing bleeding.
The crew then started looking for doctors on board.
Among the passengers was the Minister of Health of the Kamchatka Territory, Alexander Gashkov, who gave the woman first aid and bandaged her, Izvestia reports.

When the plane landed in Moscow, the victim was first removed from the plane and handed over to doctors for further examination.
Last week, Bonza cabin crew members were injured after their plane experienced air turbulence during a regional flight in Queensland, Australia.
Flight AB 626 was en route from Rockhampton en route to the Sunshine Coast when the aircraft encountered unexpected and severe turbulence.
The aircraft landed safely at its destination without further incident.
The number of injured cabin crew members and the extent of their injuries were not disclosed by the airline.
