Shooting guard Giddey, 21, is the subject of an NBA investigation following claims he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor after photos of him with a girl were recently posted on social media.
Giddey was asked about the allegation on Saturday as he returned to the basketball court and said: “Yes, I mean, I obviously understand the question, but there is no further comment at this time.”
The Melbournian is regarded as one of the most talented young players in the NBA and has proven to be a hit with sponsors.

He has been one of the faces of Weet-Bix since 2021, but the cereal company said it was monitoring the fallout from the NBA investigation.
“We are of course aware of news surrounding Josh Giddey and await confirmation of the facts,” a spokesperson told News Corp.
“We are in contact with Josh’s management team and are currently awaiting further details.”
Giddey has a four-year contract with Weet-Bix worth AU$40 million and he is the face of their ‘Every Bite Counts’ campaign.
Other Australian athletes signed to the brand include Tim Cahill, Alex de Minaur and Marnus Labuschagne.
Giddey’s face is also on Weet-Bix boxes across the country.
Last week, photos appeared on Twitter. Giddey has become one of the Thunder’s most important players since being selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft.
