John Daly’s wild night with DJ Khaled, Ne-Yo… and a MERMAID! America’s favorite golfer parties with the Grammy winner for his 48th birthday at a VERY extravagant bash

Golf cult hero John Daly showed up at Grammy Award-winning producer DJ Khaled’s 48th birthday party on Saturday night for a very flamboyant celebration.

Daly posted a few photos to his Instagram of himself mingling with other celebrity guests, like singer Ne-Yo and rapper Raekwon.

There was also a woman dressed as a mermaid swimming in a tank at the party and Daly joked that she blew him a kiss.

Khaled and Daly began their unlikely friendship when the musician took up golf as a hobby this year and previously said one of the people who contacted him for a tee time was Daly.

And while the scores of those encounters are not available, if Daly is at Khaled’s birthday party, the encounter must have gone well.

‘What a birthday party.. lots of love brother! Happiest birthday!,” Daly wrote alongside a photo of him and DJ Khaled.

He captioned a photo of NeYo, saying, “You live on a golf course…I need to get you some clubs.”

NeYo lives in Alpharetta, Georgia and owns a $3 million estate in the area’s luxurious golf community. Daly himself lives not that far away, in Florida.

It is unknown how much Daly and Khaled hung out on or off the golf course, but Daly also called on Raekwon to play a round with him in the photos.

“I’m going to get your golf chief!” Daly wrote on the photo with Raekown.

Daly is a two-time major tournament winner who turned pro in 1997, but is equally beloved for his lifestyle off the court.

In interviews over the years, Daly has claimed that he vomits when he eats vegetables and only drinks water through the ice in his Diet Coke.

The fascination is so great that CBS sportscaster Will Brinson once tweeted his findings on Daly’s diet, where during the 2008 Wyndham Championship he “took careful notes every time he reached for his golf bag, took a bite, a sip or a puff.” .

“The final result of literally everything he put into his body over a full 18 holes: 21 cigarettes, 12 Diet Cokes, 6 packs of Peanut M&M’s, 0.0 ounces of water,” Brinson tweeted.

‘Rich Beam (fellow American golfer) calls me ‘camel’ because I never drink water. I drink Diet Coke, I like ice, which for me is water, so I get enough water in my Diet Coke,” Daly said in an interview with Graham Bensinger in 2016, wearing a stars and stripes blazer.

‘I don’t drink water. I hate water. I can’t stand drinking water. I drank twelve to twenty Diet Cokes a day and went to McDonald’s three or four times a day. For me, they always had the best fountain drink.

“Burger King, McDonald’s, Taco Bell, I love them. I used to be able to eat two Big Macs, two or three cheeseburgers, chocolate shakes and regular Coke while sitting quite comfortably.”

The 57-year-old Daly could compete with the best in golf when he was at the height of his powers. He has won two Majors: the 1991 PGA Championship and the 1995 British Open.

Daly’s son, John Daly II, is a golfer at Arkansas, which is also his father’s alma mater.

Meanwhile Khaled. has been nominated for 10 Grammys over the years, with its only win coming in 2020.

In the category ‘Best Rap/Sung Performance’, Khaled received a Grammy together with Nipsey Hussle and John Legend for the song ‘Higher’.

Khaled was also previously a panelist on FOX’s singing competition ‘The Four: Battle for Stardom’.
