I’m a Londoner and these are the SEVEN things visitors do that I find infuriating

A frustrated Londoner has listed the seven annoying things people who come to the city do.

Kimberley has apparently had enough of tourists and commuters who are not adopting the city’s customs.

The presenter took it upon herself to share a step-by-step workout guide, ticking off everything you should absolutely avoid in the capital.

She said: ‘The reason why people are behaving so lawlessly, pushing and squeezing, is because people are not from London. They don’t really know the laws of the country.’

The content creator added that if you want to come to London, you ‘must’ follow her advice.

1. Walk fast

In response to a comment that read: ‘We need to start screening people before we allow them to move to London’, to which she replied:

“This comment killed me and I have now made a list of the training people moving to the central city.”

First on her detailed training guide was walking with “conviction and pace.”

Kimberley said, “Walk like you have somewhere to go. Walk with speed, okay.

“You’re in London, you’re not in Jamaica with an island breeze. Walk with strength as if you have somewhere to be.”

2. Stand on the correct side

People standing on the wrong side of the escalator is another mistake that annoys native Londoners.

She joked, “Stand to the right of the escalator. When you walk, you go up on the left.’

The content creator was also annoyed that other members of the public were taking the escalator with their luggage, adding: ‘And that includes your crazy briefcase.

“Put your silly little suitcase in front of you.”

3. Don’t run in a group of three

Kimberley’s third complaint was that people were taking up all the sidewalk space by walking in groups of three.

“Stop it now, the sidewalk paving isn’t big enough for all of us,” she insisted.

She also took the opportunity to express her frustrations about couples in love who refuse to untie their hands while walking.

‘Walk down the street, hold hands, be in love, but loosen your hands when people come.

‘What the hell is going on. Untie your hands and be in love at home. I do not understand.’

4. Let people get off busy trains

A particularly passionate Kimberley pet peeve is when people refuse to get off a crowded train to let others get off.

She instructed, “If the train is busy and people need to get off, get off and move aside…because you can get back on.”

“It won’t cost you anything to get out. There will be no double charges.’

5. Oyster cards ready

According to Kimberley, not being prepared at the ticket barriers is among the long list of annoying habits that non-Londoners have.

In the video with over 350,000 views, she advised people to be ready with payment at the barriers.

She continued, “Why are you standing at the barrier looking for your phone or whatever it is.”

The content creator further wondered, “Why don’t you have it with you? Besides, why isn’t it just on your phone?’

Her long list of complaints included people unwilling to pay at the barriers, people walking in threes on the sidewalk and commuters holding onto the pole.

6. Move aside

Kimberley also doesn’t like it when people stop in the middle of the sidewalk.

‘If you’re walking on a busy road, don’t stop in the middle of the busy road, don’t stop to look at your maps. don’t stop replying to your text.

‘Step aside like a civilized pedestrian and do what you’re doing.’

She was ranting about the annoying habit people get into when they stop in the middle of the street. stating: ‘You’re causing human traffic. You’re causing commotion and disruption, okay. Think about that carefully.’

7. Hold the pole

The Londoner’s final rule of etiquette was to use the poles found on public transport sparingly.

Kimberley said she finds it strange when people press their entire bodies on the structure.

She wondered, ‘Why is your whole body pressed on it? So now if I want to hold the pole, I’ll squeeze your back.”

Moving her hands, the content creator continued, “This isn’t Paris where everyone’s hands are doing this on the pole. Get off the post.”

Fellow Londoners flooded the comments, hailing Kimberley for the announcement, with one joking: ‘You really must be the Mayor of London’

Another said: ‘Send this to our man Sadiq. Send this to TFL to create a citywide campaign. I beg.’

“This must be a government announcement.” wrote a third.

“Living in the city has taught me that 99% of people don’t know how to be efficient and attentive in a busy environment,” one user added.

One Londoner told how when they moved to Birmingham they ‘screamed’ and joked: ‘They don’t stay on one side of the stairs or escalators.’
