Former Argentine tennis star David Nalbandian – who reached the Wimbledon final in 2002 – has reportedly confessed to secretly filming his ex-girlfriend after they broke up.
Nalbandian, 41, was one of the sport’s top stars in the 2000s, reaching third in the world rankings in March 2006.
He won 11 singles events and, along with his performance in the Wimbledon final 21 years ago, when he lost to Lleyton Hewitt in straight sets, Nalbandian also reached the semi-finals at least once in the other three Grand Slams.
However, according to German outlet BILDNalbandian is now embroiled in a scandal with his former partner Araceli Torrado, 29.
The report claims that the Argentinian – who dated Torrado between September 2022 and June 2023 – installed a camera in the apartment the couple lived in in Palermo, Italy, after their divorce to continue monitoring her.

When Torrado’s brother visited the flat, he reportedly saw a bizarre glow behind an air shaft before removing the cover and finding the camera.
The camera was installed in Torrado’s bedroom, leaving the model and influencer shocked.
“The horror was indescribable: he not only looked at me, but could see me naked!” the complaint said.
She initially reported Nalbandian to police immediately, but the charges were dropped due to lack of evidence.

However, Torrado and her lawyers persisted, showing audio recordings and messages that led Nalbandian to admit to filming her.
Argentinian newspaper La Nacion reports that the former tennis star said in a voice message: ‘Do you want me to be honest? Yes, I have set the camera.
“But I couldn’t see anything because there were internet problems.”
The report goes on to claim that Nalbandian is now accused of stalking and sexual harassment, with the 41-year-old likely to be charged by his ex-partner if found guilty.
