Mark Wahlberg, 52, shows off his ripped torso as he wishes fans a Happy Thanksgiving before doing a cold plunge

Mark Wahlberg didn’t let the Thanksgiving holiday get in the way of his daily wellness routine.

The actor, who congratulated his daughter Grace on her show jumping victory earlier this week, shared a video as he prepared to take the plunge, a very cold plunge, to start the day.

The 52-year-old showed off his rippling muscles as he walked onto the terrace wearing only navy blue shorts and a toque.

The devout Catholic crossed himself before speaking into the camera.

β€œOn this day, every day, remember to give thanks and praise to the Lord,” he said as he lifted the lid of his patio pool.

β€œI started late today, but I’m getting it in,” he explained.

He estimated the temperature at about 40 degrees Fahrenheit and revealed, “It’s 40 degrees in the water.”

After sliding into the chilled water, he crossed himself again and said, “I’ll see you at the gym.”

Taking a cold plunge has been used for decades to reduce inflammation and prevent muscle soreness from returning.

But The American Heart Association warns that it can cause increased heart rate, chest pain and breathing problems, and anyone interested in trying the practice should consult their doctor.
