Kyle Sandilands has unleashed a barrage of insults at Steve Price over The Project star’s criticism of his move to the Melbourne market.
Price, 68, called Sandilands, 52, a “grubby buffoon” during Wednesday night’s Project after the radio star put pen to paper on a $200 million deal.
And on Thursday morning, Sandilands responded with an astonishing spray to the media veteran, calling him “a grunk” and “a piece of shit.”
Kyle left an expletive-filled voicemail for Price during the show and began ranting, “Hey you piece of shit, we’ve talked before.”
He went on to tell Price that his comments were “disappointing” and told him to “feel free to play this off.” [voicemail] about tonight’s Project.’

During the stunning rant, Sandilands also called Price “a gronk” and even called out The Project co-host Sarah Harris after she “mispronounced” his child’s name.
Harris referred to Sandilands’ son as “Otis” instead of his real name, Otto, during their segment about the shock jock.
Sandilands also refuted the claim that ‘Sydney people don’t work in Melbourne’, saying ‘you’re all demented.’
“Who cares if Melbourne doesn’t like us? We still get paid.”

Price was discussing Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s $200 million deal when he launched his tirade on Wednesday evening.
The deal will see the breakfast hosts broadcast in Melbourne, prompting host Sarah Harris to ask Price whether Victorians would take notice of Sandilands’ controversial style.
“Well, Sarah, Kyle is a grubby buffoon and I don’t think grubby buffoons work in Melbourne. I probably shouldn’t call him a grubby buffoon; he’s just a grub,” Price sneered.
‘Melbourne will not embrace the style of that program as it is now. Some of the sexually explicit material is off-putting,” he added.
Price is a veteran of AM radio in Melbourne whose attempts to break into the The Sydney market was notably unsuccessful. Last year he officially hung up his headphones after his Triple M and LiSTNR show were cancelled.

On Wednesday morning, the Sydney-based radio duo signed a record-breaking 10-year, $200 million deal that will keep them on the air until 2034.
An ARN spokesperson confirmed to Ny Breaking Australia that the deal means Kyle and Jackie’s KIIS FM work friends Jase Hawkins and Lauren Phillips will be out of a job and their Melbourne breakfast show will end in December.
Lauren broke down in tears as she announced the news to her listeners on Wednesday, sobbing that she “didn’t want to say goodbye to Melbourne”.
Jase and Lauren’s show was successful for KIIS FM, attracting new listeners to the station and ranking third in the Melbourne market behind Fox FM’s Fifi Fev & Nick and GOLD104.3’s Christian O’Connell.

In a statement celebrating the historic contract extension, Sandilands said: “Fans of the show will be pleased to hear that this ten-year deal is the longest radio deal in Australian history.”
“Love us or loathe us, Jackie and I will continue with our politically incorrect nonsense for a long time.”
He added: “We would like to thank the listeners. Staff. All clients. Even senior management, I’ll give a nod to that. They’ve actually done something brilliant.’
This means the duo will dominate markets beyond their Sydney-based audience and expand their reach Melbourne For the first time.
It has been reported that a unique clause in the contract gives Sandilands the ability to broadcast the show ‘anywhere in the world’.

The shock jock has often worked on the KIIS FM show from Los Angeles and other places, so the new contract will give him the flexibility to continue broadcasting wherever he wants.
The landmark $200 million deal means Sandilands and Henderson will each earn $10 million a year, double their current salaries of around $5 million a year.
According to the Financial OverviewKyle and Jackie’s contracts include “a base salary, a percentage of sales above what is currently being earned – known as ‘incremental growth,’ and sign-on bonuses consisting primarily of stock in ARN.”

“Kyle and Jackie O have grown into a powerful brand that contributes significantly to ARN’s commercial success, and this new agreement strategically positions us for long-term growth beyond radio.”
