KIIS FM shares update on Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s heart attack scare after she was rushed to emergency room during live show

KIIS FM has given listeners an update on Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s health after the radio star was rushed to A&E during Tuesday’s show.

The mother-of-one, 48, was treated emergency for an ‘infection’ and has since been released from Sydney’s Royal North Shore.

Jackie was rushed to hospital midway through the show after experiencing tingling in her arm, which could be a symptom of a heart attack.

Late in the afternoon, the official KIIS and Kyle and Jackie O Instagram accounts assured listeners that Jackie was okay with a heartfelt statement.

“To our loyal listeners: Thank you for your kind messages and concerns. Jackie is doing well,” the statement said tenderly.

It went on to say that she was treated at home, released and will return to the studio microphone at 6am on Wednesday.

“Following a series of tests, Jackie was treated for an infection and was released from hospital this afternoon,” the post continued.

“She is resting at home and will be back on air tomorrow morning from 6am.”

The station concluded their post with: ‘Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Royal North Shore Hospital.’

Jackie had undergone a procedure just a day earlier to remove a uterine polyp, a growth attached to her uterus.

Kyle and Jackie were preparing to interview Angela Bishop when she started experiencing symptoms.

‘She stepped out to lie down. She’s wearing some sort of corset dress and she had surgery yesterday,” Kyle explained.

“She also didn’t sleep much because intern Pete’s melatonin tablets kept her awake and then she went to the Red Bulls this morning.”

Kyle explained that Jackie had “all this pain in her arm and chest before she was sent home.”

Kyle then said that Jackie left the show to visit the hospital.

Before Jackie left, the couple called Sam Hay, aka Dr. KIIS, to ask if she had symptoms of a heart attack.

He told her to check her pulse and said it could be a lack of sleep, but if she continued to feel unwell she should seek medical attention.

“Jackie starts feeling pain in her left arm the day after surgery,” Kyle said.

Jackie added, “And chest pain. But I don’t feel short of breath. I used to feel nauseous. The pain is dull along the arm.’

Jackie was scheduled to interview John Laws earlier in the day, but he “hung up” after she talked about her surgery on air.

Uterine polyps are growths that attach to the inner wall of the uterus and spread into the uterus Mayo Clinic.

The polyps are usually not cancerous, although some may be cancerous or become cancerous.
