Hugh Jackman has hinted that he is just days away from reprising his most iconic role.

The 55-year-old posted a selfie to Instagram on Tuesday in which he sported some very familiar facial hair: Wolverine’s mutton chops.

The X-Men star captioned the photo, “Wearing the chops can only mean one thing.”

The telltale sign that shooting for the superhero sequel is imminent comes after months of delays on the “half-finished” project.

‘We shot half the movie. I edited half the film. We’re eager to get back to work and release this film next year,” director Shaun Levy said The cover last month.

Deadpool 3 marks Hugh’s return to the role that made him famous, reuniting him with his good friend Ryan Reynolds, who plays Deadpool.

The update comes after Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness were revealed unfollow each other on Instagram after their shock split.

Jackman appears to have unfollowed Deborra-Lee, 67, while she is also unfollowing his account.

This move suggests that neither party wants to see what the other is up to as they both try to move on with their lives.

Jackman recently shared several happy snaps on Instagram capturing him on long walks around New York City, while Furness set her profile to private.

The couple recently began the “difficult” process of dividing the $290 million empire they built.

With a huge real estate portfolio and other assets between them, the Wolverine star and his wife plan to split everything equally, US Weekly reported in October.

“Their lives were so intertwined, so it’s an extremely difficult and heartbreaking process to divide everything up and figure out who gets what in terms of assets and finances,” a source told the publication.
