Jennifer Lawrence had a hilarious reaction when she suffered a wardrobe malfunction during her lighting ceremony at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York on Monday.
The Hunger Games star, 33, was giving a speech before unveiling the Saks Fifth Avenue and Dior ‘Carousel of Dreams’ 2023 holiday window displays when suddenly her belt came loose and fell to the floor.
The Academy Award-winning actress raised her hands to her face in shock and exclaimed, “I’m so sorry, it was so loud, my belt came off!” in a clip shared by Women’s clothing everyday.
But like a true professional, the star – who stunned fans with a full-frontal nude scene in her latest film – quickly collected herself and continued with her speech, before unveiling the windows.
The blonde bombshell looked chic as ever in a Dior outfit, wearing a sophisticated black coat over a white button-up shirt, with a black belt wrapped around her waist.

After her wardrobe malfunction, the star happily posed with the incredibly festive and lavish window displays.
The light show stretched across the ten-storey building and included in-store installations and 300,000 LED lamps.
It was the first time that the retailer had worked exclusively with a fashion brand for its annual Christmas window display.
The feat took “100 craftsmen, 10 months of planning and involved designing and manufacturing objects in Italy” and “flying them to New York to install” according to Women’s clothing everyday.
The windows featured signature Dior motifs, including the star, shamrock and zodiac signs, inspired by the Dior cruise 2024 collection.
The windows will remain open until January 5.

“This celebration takes place around Christmas, the unveiling of the Christmas windows around Rockefeller Center, which is a great gift to the city and to the people of New York. It’s for Saks, it’s for New York and it’s for the US. We hope it will have a reach beyond the city and gain some recognition for all our clients in the US,” said Charles Delapalme, Managing Director of Christian Dior Couture.
Lawrence has been a Dior ambassador since 2012.
It comes after it was revealed that Lawrence is unlikely to return to The Hunger Games.
The star played Katniss Everdeen in the first four films of the dystopian sci-fi film franchise, but producer Nina Jacobson says her return is dependent on author Suzanne Collins writing a new novel starring her alter ego.
Jacobson said Yahoo Entertainment: ‘If Suzanne has something to say, she writes a book about it.
“Honestly, as much as I love Katniss, I think her story is complete. And I think Suzanne feels like her story is complete.”
She added, “But if that changes and Suzanne wants to say something, and it’s about Katniss, then I would be very happy.”
“But really, any opportunity to be back in this world and lead Francis (Lawrence) and Suzanne, I would take it, no matter who it was.”

The franchise returned to the big screen this month with the prequel film ‘The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ and Jennifer expressed hope earlier this year that she could return.
Asked about the prospect by Variety, the No Hard Feelings star said: “Oh, my God – totally! If Katniss could ever come back into my life, 100 percent.
‘My production partner clutched her heart.’
Rachel Zegler stars as Lucy Gray Baird in the prequel, and director Francis Lawrence explained that she is the “anti-Katniss.”
The filmmaker told Empire magazine: “Katniss was an introvert and a survivor. She was quite quiet and stoic, you could almost say she was asexual. Lucy Gray is the opposite. She carries her sexuality with her, (and) she is truly a performer.”
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes was released in theaters on November 17.
