Outrage as only TWO Australian stars make the Cricket World Cup team of the tournament while one huge name misses out… so, can you guess which players got the nod?
Cricket fans are left stunned after the ICC announced the team of the tournament after the World Cup.
Six Indian stars made the list of 12 players on Monday, while only two Australians represented the newly crowned champions in the Rohit Sharma-led team.
The tournament hosts enjoyed an incredible run to the finals in Ahmedabad, winning all ten of their matches and earning numerous plaudits along the way.
But despite being tactically outclassed by Australian counterpart Pat Cummins in the final, Sharma was named captain of the team of the tournament. Fast bowler Cummins did not make the squad.
Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were also part of the team.

Despite his heroics in the final, Australian superstar Travis Head didn’t make it

Glenn Maxwell, who scored a stunning double century to save his side against Afghanistan, makes the cut, as does Adam Zampa.
But there’s no room for Travis Head. The batsman arrived midway through the tournament due to injury but played a starring role for the Aussies, hitting 137 runs against India to win the final on Sunday.
Despite that incredible performance, Head failed to make the side, while David Warner also missed out despite rediscovering his mojo in India.
Unsurprisingly, cricket fans were quick to question the team of the tournament.
“There should be more than two Australian players on that list,” said one fan.
Another added: ‘Only 2 players from the World Cup winning team!’
‘Where is the man responsible for winning the final?’ a third fan asked, referring to Head.
Another fan questioned the concept of a ‘team of the tournament’.
‘What’s the point? The team of the tournament was the team that won the tournament.”
