A Met Police spokesperson today confirmed to MailOnline: ‘A man in his 40s attended a police station in South London on Thursday 16 November 2023. He was interviewed under caution by detectives in connection with three non-recent sex offenses. The investigation continues.’
On Wednesday, the BBC said two further complaints had been made against Brand that were ‘not of a serious sexual nature’ after the broadcaster launched an investigation into his conduct. This was in addition to three other complaints made to the BBC before he was accused of rape and sexual assault.
Brand has denied allegations of rape and sexual assault, claiming his relationships were “always consensual.”
The allegations the Met is questioning Brand are believed to be different from those made by four women in September.
The comedian was accused of abusive and predatory behavior, including one rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse, between 2006 and 2013 at the height of his fame.
The first allegations included a woman claiming Brand raped her without a condom against the wall of his Los Angeles home in 2013. She was treated the same day during a rape crisis, according to medical records obtained by The Times.
Another woman alleged that he sexually assaulted her when she was 16 years old and still at school in Britain.
A third alleged Brand sexually assaulted her while she worked with him in LA. She claimed she repeatedly told him to get off her, and when he finally did, he “turned around.”
The fourth claimed she was sexually abused by Brand in Britain and accused him of physically and emotionally abusing her.

Brand has denied allegations of rape and sexual assault, claiming his relationships were “absolutely, always consensual.”
Over the weeks, a raft of other claims emerged, including a woman who contacted the Met to claim she had been sexually assaulted in Soho, London, in 2003.
Chief Inspector Andy Furphy, who is leading the investigation, later said: ‘We continue to encourage anyone who believes they have been the victim of a sexual offense, no matter how long ago, to contact us.’
He added: ‘We understand that it may be a difficult step to take, and I would like to reassure that we have a team of specialist officers available to advise and support.’
Officers from a police unit set up after the Jimmy Savile scandal worked with Scotland Yard on the ‘non-recent’ allegations against Brand.
Earlier this month, Brand was accused of sexually assaulting an actress on the set of ‘Arthur’ in 2010 – while engaged to Katy Perry – in a lawsuit filed in New York, marking the first such allegation to be heard in court expressed.
He was photographed last week for the first time since he was publicly accused of rape and sexual assault by several women.
He was seen on Thursday driving his £90,000 Land Rover Defender to the pub he owns in Oxfordshire to talk to staff about ongoing renovation work at the property.
Last month it was revealed that Brand was forced to take down the fencing around his village pub after installing it in breach of building regulations the day after he was accused of abusive and predatory behaviour.
Brand’s appearance came just days before the BBC revealed that a total of five complaints had been made against the comedian.

One of the first three complaints relates to an allegation of misconduct first reported in 2019 in relation to an incident that took place in 2008 at the BBC building in Los Angeles.
The last two complaints were filed between 2006 and 2008, when Brand worked at the company as a radio host, and were refiled after his departure.
Prior to the initial allegations against Brand, he strongly denied “very serious criminal allegations.”
He said in a video: ‘During that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely always consensual. I was always transparent about it then, almost too transparent, and I am transparent about it now.
“When I see that this transparency has metastasized into something criminal, which I absolutely deny, then I wonder: is there another agenda at play?”
Brand said the “very serious allegations” came amid “a litany of astonishing, quite baroque attacks.”
