Neighbors say a Brooklyn man planned to kill his wife in a jealous rage before she was shot dead.
Rosa Acevedo has been identified as the woman killed in a shooting in East New York, Brooklyn on Friday evening, police confirmed.
Acevedo, who was in her 40s, had a stepson who was seriously injured in the shooting in the first-floor apartment she shared with her husband.
Her husband Luis Collado, 52, allegedly told neighbors he was going to kill his wife because he thought she had a lover.
Victor Cruz – a neighbor of Collado and Acevedo – said: “He was jealous. He said, ‘I’m going to kill her, I’m going to kill her, I’m going to shoot her.’

Acevedo’s stepson – 26-year-old Gustavo Acevedo – was seriously injured in the shooting.
Another neighbor who lived on Louisiana Avenue said he saw medics rushing the stepson from the home.
“I saw them rushing him to the ambulance,” the neighbor said.
‘He was all blood. His head was wrapped in a towel and he was squirting blood. It was horrible.’

While police were investigating the incident, a gun was seen near the crime scene
