Julia Ray, 34, says people often ask if her daughter Millie Ray, five months, is older than her or if she wears a hairpiece.
Millie’s videos often rack up hundreds of thousands of views on TikTok and are flooded with comments about her hair.
Viewers often compare Millie to a baby doll, a fairy, or a children’s book illustration, but Julia has her own idea.

“Her hair grew long before she came into this world,” Julia said.
“People say, ‘Wow, that’s a lot of hair! What are you feeding your baby?’ Most people think she is much older than she is because of her long hair.
‘People often ask if her hair is real.
“We joke about it being a wig for babies.”
Julia thinks the toddler’s mop is down to genetics as she and her partner Alex, 39, a business owner, also have very thick hair.
‘We definitely think it’s a mix of our genes as Alex was also born with a full head of hair, but nowhere near as full as Millie’s.
‘Alex’s hair is still very thick to this day.
“Mine’s pretty fat too, but Millie beat me.”

The little girl’s impressive hair has become a social media phenomenon, leaving her parents baffled.
Julia explained, “We were surprised by how many people were fascinated by her.
‘Every comment was about her hair, but all very positive!’
‘At birth her head was covered with a few centimeters of hair. Came out looking like Monchhichi.”
