Natalie Portman gets leggy in sequin miniskirt and fitted black top alongside co-star Julianne Moore at photocall for new film May December in LA
Natalie Portman, Julianne Moore and members of the May and December cast and crew are in full promotional mode for director Todd Haynes’ new film.
On Friday, the two A-list Oscar winners attended Netflix’s Los Angeles Photo Call for the dark comedy-drama held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The actresses were joined by their co-star Charles Melton, along with Haynes, for the photocall, which took place a day after the film’s Los Angeles premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
For the second day in a row, Portman appeared to go solo and not wear her wedding ring on the red carpet, in the wake of cheating allegations against her husband Benjamin Millepied in recent months.
While she opted to keep accessories to a minimum, Portman showed off her petite figure and fashion sense by stepping out in a sequin miniskirt that shimmered under the event lights and a black figure-hugging top.

The miniskirt was predominantly black and silver, but the garment also had accents of purple, white and burgundy.
The native of Jerusalem, Israel, who grew up in Washington, DC, Connecticut and Long Island, New York, also wore a purple jacket over her shoulder at times during the photocall.
To complete her overall look, the Oscar-winning actress also wore a pair of black peep-toe heels and styled her brunette locks long with some natural waves and a center parting.
After striking a number of poses herself, Portman was joined on the red carpet by Moore, who was decked out in an all-black ensemble consisting of a long skirt and a matching short-sleeved top that hugged her fit figure.
She also wore a pair of black open-toed heels, and her red locks flowed long and straight a few inches down her back with a center parting.
Moore, born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina and who traveled extensively throughout the US as the child of a military father, also posed for photographers himself.
At one point, Haynes and Melton joined in on the red carpet, with the actor dressed in black high-water pants, a gray sweater and black combat-style boots, and the filmmaker wearing blue jeans, a black button-up shirt and matching sneakers.
In May December, Portman will play Elizabeth Berry, a famous actress preparing for a role who travels to Savannah to meet Gracie (Julianne Moore), a character loosely inspired by Mary Kay Letourneau, according to Variety. During her stay, Elizabeth develops ambivalent feelings toward Gracie and her thirty-year-old husband Joe, with whom she began an illicit relationship when he was thirteen.

NO WEDDING RING! Portman has been pictured a number of times without wearing her husband Benjamin Millepied’s wedding ring
NO WEDDING RING! The previous day, Thursday, Portman was not wearing her wedding ring on the red carpet of the May December Los Angeles premiere at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures
Their marriage was the subject of an article in the French publication Voiciwhich alleged that the 46-year-old French dancer and choreographer had an affair with the then 25-year-old.
“It was short-lived and it’s over,” a source said when news of the cheating broke earlier this year.
The actress has since been spotted without her wedding ring on a number of occasions, and although divorce was rumored, the couple has been out and about together for the past six months raising their two children.
Critically praised, May December was released in select US theaters on November 17 before beginning streaming on Netflix on December 1.
