Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos are mercilessly roasted for ‘cringe and uncomfortable’ Vogue photoshoot – as critics even accuse the magazine of Photoshopping billionaire Amazon founder’s ‘engorged’ BICEPS

The internet is roasting Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos for their new one Fashion photo shoot, with some branding it “cringe” and “awkward” and others accusing the magazine of photoshopping the Amazon founder’s muscles into it.

Lauren, 53, and Jeff, 59, sat down for a joint interview with the publication for its upcoming December 2023 issue, which included a very glamorous photo shoot.

But when the magazine shared one of the photos from the shoot on its Instagram page on Monday, many people online joked about it in the comments section, comparing the couple to “background actors in a telenovela” and claiming it looked like a ‘parody generated by AI.’

In the photo, Jeff sat in the front seat of a truck while Lauren leaned forward from the passenger side and wrapped her arms around her fiancé.

She wore a white tank top, while he opted for a black T-shirt, jeans and a cowboy hat. They pressed their faces together and looked seriously at the camera.

“I’ve never felt so uncomfortable with a photo,” one person wrote. Another added: ‘I’d like to not see this photo again.’

“This is fucking weird. And certainly not Vogue – in any definition. And I’m being really nice here,” someone else said.

“I honestly thought this photo was an AI-generated parody,” read a fourth comment. ‘Or ironically photoshopped. This is a real post… for Vogue?

“No one wants this content,” said a fifth.

Another user asked, “Why do they look like they are background actors in a telenovela?”

“This is the most cringe-worthy post I have ever seen. Unfollow,” said one commenter.

Someone else wondered if Jeff had paid the publication to make his muscles look bigger in the photo, while another person agreed: “The biceps have been airbrushed to perfection.”

Others were quick to slam the outlet for “glorifying billionaires,” calling the interview “tone deaf” amid “everything going on in the world.”

“It’s not very fashionable to idolize people who are destroying the planet and have destroyed the vibrancy across the country,” read another comment.

“This is a remarkably unflattering and tone-deaf post and the timing is uncanny. Do better Vogue,” someone else said.

‘WTF is this? With everything going on in the world, is this the one you want to promote? I’m so confused,” another angry user wrote.

“Much has been made of Jeff Bezos’ evolution from online bookseller to Tony Stark titan of industry and third richest man in the world,” the caption on Vogue’s post read.

“Once isolated and press-shy, he formed a cocoon around Amazon and his personal life.

“Now it’s as if he’s emerged from his chrysalis, no longer CEO of Amazon (a role he relinquished in 2021), but an empty nester venturing not only into the Adriatic Sea, but also into space.

‘His fiancée, Lauren Sánchez, is in any case the perfect partner for this: unbridled in her enthusiasm, but also socially skilled, attentive, a kind of diplomat.’

Although it is unclear when they first got together, Lauren and Jeff’s romance was first brought to light by the National researcher in January 2019, while they were both married to other people.

Shortly afterwards, the business mogul divorced his wife of more than 25 years and the mother of his four children, Mackenzie Scott, while Lauren left her husband, co-CEO of Hollywood giant agency WME, Patrick Whitesell.

The businessman – who is the third richest man in the world and reportedly has a net worth of $165 billion – and the TV personality then made their first public appearance together in May that year, and have been happily in love ever since.

They got engaged in May and Jeff popped the question on his mega yacht after enjoying a romantic dinner together under the stars.

During the interview, the couple talked about the moment he asked her to marry him.

Lauren told the publication that Jeff hid the huge diamond ring under her pillow, and she nearly blacked out when she discovered it at the end of the night, right before they went to bed.

When asked about their wedding, Lauren admitted that they were still in the early stages of planning, so they hadn’t figured out much yet.

‘We’re still thinking about the wedding and what it’s going to be. Will it be big? Will it be abroad? We don’t know yet,” she said.

And Jeff made it clear he was leaving it in her hands, telling the outlet when asked if he would be heavily involved in the planning, “Oh God, no. Do I look so stupid?’

As for whether or not Lauren will take her husband-to-be’s last name, she admitted, “Um, yeah, one hundred percent.” I look forward to being Mrs. Bezos.”

The couple celebrated their engagement on Sunday with a star-studded bash at the sprawling Beverly Hills home of Diane von Furstenberg and her businessman husband Barry Diller.

It was attended by a slew of celebrities including Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse, Oprah, Miranda Kerr, Salma Hayek, Jessica Alba, Cash Warren, Chris Rock, Gayle King, Deborra-Lee Furness, Rita Wilson , Barbra Streisand and James Brolin.
