Organizers of the Las Vegas Grand Prix remain confident they will sell out their upcoming Formula 1 weekend, despite reports that thousands of tickets remain unsold.
The sport descends on Sin City this week for the first Vegas Grand Prix in 41 years, and it is expected to be the most expensive Formula 1 race of all time.
Amid the glitz and glamor, reports emerged last week that tens of thousands of tickets remained unsold and that ticket and hotel prices had plummeted as a result.
On the contrary, race organizers have told Mail Sport that they DO expect the race to sell out, and are preparing for more than 100,000 fans on each day of the event.
The first practices will take place on Thursday evening, with qualifying starting at midnight on Friday evening and the race starting at 10pm local time on Saturday evening.

The race promises to be a huge spectacle and has been labeled as the most expensive F1 event of all time, with the twenty drivers racing along the Strip at a speed of more than 320 km/h.
It will also be the third F1 race to take place on American soil in 2023, following the Miami Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. It will also be the first time that three F1 races will take place in the US.
Max Verstappen is the heavy favorite to come out on top as he looks to win a record-extending 18th Grand Prix of the season.

The Red Bull superstar has already won the title, and has more than double the points of his nearest rival and teammate Sergio Perez.
However, there is still plenty to fight for behind the Red Bulls, with just 20 points separating Mercedes and Ferrari as they battle for second place in the Constructors’ Championship with just two races remaining.
Further afield, there is a similar gap between McLaren in fourth and Aston Martin in fifth, while Williams, Alpha Tauri, Alfa Romeo and Haas are all desperately trying to avoid falling to the bottom of the table.
